Your website is doing far more than trying to rank pages. It needs to explain who you are, what you sell, who you help, why somebody should trust you, and why they should care enough to keep reading.
An audit is usually most useful once you already have a meaningful website and body of content but are no longer sure what is helping, what is holding the site back, or where the next investment should go. If you are starting almost entirely from zero, content strategy is usually the better first step.
A content and search audit looks at that entire system. I review the website and the brand it communicates, compare you with competitors, map the existing content, examine search visibility and opportunity, and assess the evidence, expertise, trust, messaging, and journeys behind the site.
The aim is not to produce a long list of isolated faults. It is to work out what is going wrong, what is already working, what is missing, and what deserves fixing first.
